Acupuncture
is the stimulation of special point locations on the meridian pathways
of the body with fine, stainless steel needles. These pathways are
where our vital energy, called 'qi' (or ''chi'), flows. After diagnosing
the imbalance in a patients system we use acupuncture to bring the
system back into balance. There are 365 regular meridian points
as well as extra specialized points.
Acupuncture is a regulated and licensed profession. The World Health
Organization has approved acupuncture as a treatment for many kinds
of disorders. Western scientific methodology has been brought to
bear on the objective results of acupuncture and has measured its
effects. |
